RiverRocks is a unique and distinctive outdoor festival celebrating the incomparable natural resources of the Tennessee Valley, the health benefits of an active, outdoor lifestyle and the activities they inspire as well as Chattanooga’s commitment to environmental stewardship and land conservation.
This year’s event will take place October 1st-10th at locations throughout Chattanooga, Tennessee and the surrounding region.&
nbsp;Urban Rocks will be hosting two exciting family events during the week and a half of festivities.
Description: Urban Rocks hosts a climbing clinic at Outdoor Chattanooga. Urban Rocks staff will discuss climbing in the Chattanooga Valley, climbing safety and basic climbing techniques.

Description: Any family member over the age of six is allowed to boulder, but a safety lesson for the boulderer is required of new participants (offered free of charge upon entry to the event). We will have volunteers belaying for the youngsters 14 years and under (belaying is managing the rope to keep the climber safe) and bouldering is open to any family member wishing to participate. In addition to the free climbing, we will have various contests, activities and games for families to participate in, such as: a costume contest, a mummy wrapping contest, a scavenger hunt for a kids-only candy raffle and other surprise climbing games. |
