Urban Rocks is gladly hosting another round of Adaptive Climbing at the gym. This program is run through Chattanooga's Parks & Recreational Department of Therapeutic Recreation and is aimed at giving people with cognitive and physical disabilities the chance to challenge themselves in a new and different capacity.
The program will be running from February 17 - March 17. Participants will gather at the gym every Thursday from 4p.m. - 6p.m. with two sessions running each week. One session will be devoted to those with cognitive disabilities and the second session to those with physical disabilities. Each session participants will receive one on one help from Urban Rocks staff as well as dedicated volunteers. Many have never been off the ground before and it is a unique challenge for the participants that is overcome during the course of the program.
